Cheddar Cheese Apple Biscuit
Ingredients
- 275 g Tree Top Fruit Sensations – Apple
- 171 g cake flour
- 156 g unbleached all purpose flour
- 6 g baking powder
- 2.30 g baking soda
- 1.50 g teaspoon salt
- 67 g sugar
- 170 g cheddar cheese, grated
- 306 g plain yogurt
- 8.66 g baked apple flavor
- 43 g butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 F.
In a large mixing bowl, sift together cake flour, all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, baked apple flavor, salt and sugar. Make a well in middle of dry mixture. Add yogurt to dry mixture. Stir only until mixture is moistened. Fold in cheese and apples.
Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface. Knead quickly by gently folding and pressing 2 to 4 times or until dough is nearly smooth. Do not overwork the dough. Pat or lightly roll dough to 1/2″ thick and cut with a biscuit cutter. Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet and brush tops with melted butter.
Bake at 375 F for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot.
