Chocolate Walnut Apple Cake
Ingredients
- 309 g Tree Top Low Moisture/Evaporated Apple Dices, rehydrated in 21 g Tree Top Apple Juice Concentrate and 89 g water
- 256 g butter
- 381 g granulated sugar
- 150 g eggs
- 105 g water
- 345 g all-purpose flour
- 4.60 g baking soda
- 2.30 g baking powder
- 2.60 g cinnamon
- 2.60 g allspice
- 16 g powdered cocoa
- 13 g vanilla
- 86 g chocolate chips
- 112 g walnuts, chopped
Directions
Rehydrate apples in concentrate/water mixture for at least 5 minutes. Drain well.
Beat together butter, sugar and eggs. Add next 8 ingredients; mix thoroughly. Fold in remaining ingredients and pour batter into a greased and floured 9″ x 13″ pan.
Bake at 325 F for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
