Stone fruit bloom in California is nearing an end. Many varieties had bloom conditions that were less than ideal this year due to poor weather, but there seems to have been enough good days for bloom that a full crop is expected in most orchards. There will be some areas that have been impacted by the poor weather. This is especially true if the need for cross pollination with bees was important (plums, almonds, etc.). For peach and nectarine orchards there should be a mostly full set of fruit this year. There are reports of frost damage in South Carolina and Georgia due to recent cold weather events, but California so far seems to have the potential for a full crop.
