Apple Sauce Spice Cake
- 19 g Tree Top Apple Powder
- 297 g Tree Top Apple Sauce
- 78 g Tree Top Apple Purée Concentrate
- 315 g all-purpose flour
- 288 g sugar
- 2 g baking powder
- 4.60 g baking soda
- 5.50 g salt
- 4 g cinnamon
- 45 g water
- 68 g egg white
- 50 g whole egg
- 71 g raisins
Browned Frosting
- 44.40 g Tree Top Apple Juice
- 27 g butter
- 280 g powdered sugar
- 0.50 g cinnamon
- 1.25 g vanilla
Directions
Apple Sauce Spice Cake:
Heat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a 9″ x 13″ pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and apple powder. Blend and set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl, mix together apple sauce, water and eggs. Add to dry ingredients. Blend at low speed until moist. Beat 2 minutes at high speed. Stir in apples and raisins.
Bake for 32 minutes. Cool completely.
Browned Frosting:
Brown butter in medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; cool slightly. Add powdered sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and apple juice. Immediately spread over top of cooled cake. Frosting sets up quickly.
